My Passion

Mentoring clinicians in developing their unique talents as psychotherapists, offering them a safe and supportive space to practice psychotherapy, and creating an environment for learning from their peers, the evidenced-based community, and myself.

Fidi Therapy was created to provide the right program, with the right tools, for the right people. The right people are both clients and psychotherapists who are willing to commit, focus, and accept (CFA):

  • The right person commits to discovering what’s meaningful to them; their values.
  • The right person focuses on acting in ways consistent with their values.
  • The right person accepts all discomfort when acting on their values.

What I Do

I supervise and mentor each employee of FIDI Therapy. I get to know the clinician and their clients intimately. It is important that the clinician feels safe, supported, and well-equipped to show up for you.

I have repeatedly been asked by my clients, “How can you listen to problems all day?” My answer is, “I have always been mentored and supported by senior clinicians. Having access to a supervisor relieves me of stress and concern about being the best clinician I can be. My supervisors have always let me make the best decision on my own when it comes to my clients. Sharing my concerns with my supervisor allows me to go home every night and be there fully for my family and friends.”

This is how I grew to be a senior clinician, and it’s how I mentor my employees. I want my employee to be the best confidante you know, and I make that happen by being the best confidante my employees know.”

What to Expect

Working with a psychotherapist from Fidi Therapy, you can expect high-quality, evidence-based care.

Evidence-based care means studies have been done to show that our treatment works. Our high level of customer service and our expert clinical staff create a community of helpers you can trust. We have read the studies and continue to read and apply treatments shown to work.

We do not waiver here. If the treatment hasn’t been empirically validated (shown to work), we do not use it at FIDI Therapy.

My Experience

I was trained as a psychotherapist at New York University before doing post-grad studies at The Albert Ellis Institute for Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (AEI). I trained at AEI for five years before going off on my own and creating a private practice.

After ten years in practice, I acquired a second masters degree in neuroscience at Columbia University, where I studied the impact of stress on the brain. Later, I studied Bioinformatics at Harvard University and Sex Therapy at the University of Michigan.

In 2017, I began hiring and training new psychotherapists in the private practice and changed the name to Fidi Therapy, because we are located in the Financial District of New York.
