Your First Session

Our experience has shown us that the most important thing is for you to be matched with a therapist that you are comfortable with. That is what our first session is all about. You will have an opportunity to meet the therapist, explain what brings you in to therapy and why at this point in your life, and get valuable feedback, suggestions, and ways to move forward.

Then, you will be asked to go home and reflect on the session. If you make a connection with the therapist and want to schedule a follow up appointment then just reach out to your therapist and book your follow up appointment. You will then be charged for the evaluation session. 

If for whatever reason you choose not to book a follow up appointment, you will not be charged for the evaluation session. Again, what is most important is that you match with the right therapist. The therapist will then offer at least 2 referrals to equally qualified therapists.

Our fees are very reasonable in Manhattan

We charge between $100 and $400 per session. The rate depends on the experience of the therapist and whether the session will be an individual or a couples session. You can reach out to us and inquire about the rate for your therapist. 

We are a fee for service practice

You will be responsible for the full fee at the end of each session. You can pay by credit card, HSA (employee health account), or check.

If you have an out of network insurance plan, we will supply you with a monthly receipt that will include all the information the insurance companies requite (treatment code, license numbers, fee, etc). You can then request reimbursement for your therapy. Most EPO and PPO plans play a reimbursement once the deductible has been reached.
